TEACHER TRAINING COURSE CATALOG
MISSION STATEMENT
The Pilates on Seventh Teacher Training Program provides a welcoming and supportive environment for students to study the Pilates Method. We believe that Pilates is for all bodies- all sizes, ages, colors, and abilities. All bodies are welcome in this program!
Our approach is rooted in a respect for the original Pilates methodology, while also reflecting the most current scientific understandings of movement and the body. Students will learn basic anatomy and become versed in classical Pilates exercises on the Mat, Reformer, Wunda Chair, Cadillac, and Ladder Barrel. Graduates of the program will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to teach in classical or contemporary studios.
MAT/REFORMER CERTIFICATION
Students spend 6 months training in the Pilates method as well as studying anatomy, kinesiology, and pathologies as they relate to Pilates. Upon completion of this term, students will be eligible to test for and receive a Mat and Reformer Certification. (Please note: in order to sit for the NPCP exam, you must complete the comprehensive training.)
